Job Description:

This is a 2nd Shift role, the work schedule is: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm Pacific Time. SUMMARY Performs manual and mechanical duties to assist in operations of a variety of limited equipment and tools in the fabrication and assembly of foam and/or plastic containers through the operation of tools and equipment, and reading simple prints, drawings and specifications. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs various operations of simple fabrications and/or assembly.
• Picks parts and supplies from inventory as instructed.
• Assists in set up and operates cutting, drilling, saws, glue applicators, assembly tools, drill presses, hand and power tools, etc.
• Cuts stock to proper dimensions and tolerances as instructed.
• Performs gluing, taping, flame treating, and labeling operations as instructed. Performs required masking and painting.
• Reviews product specifications on simple jobs. Performs required tests, visual inspections, dimension checks, etc. Detects any out of specification condition and notifies a lead person or manager.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
• Sets up and performs routine operations including cutting such as vertical/horizontal/profile saws, drilling, glue applicators, laminating and pressing equipment. Selects stock and cuts sheet stock to proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Ability to be trained in the operation of Water Jet.
• Performs additional duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Use of basic math skills, simple use of charts, tables, schedules.
  • Use of adjustable measuring instruments, checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
    • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
    • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
